Is Sean out of "The Three Stooges"?

Sean Penn has reportedly pulled out of the Farrelly brothers' "The Three Stooges" film, with Jim Carrey and Benicio del Toro.
Citing a need to focus on family life, in the wake of his much publicised marital problems with Robin Wright Penn, Sean has requested a hiatus in his career for now. However, a statement from his publicist Mara Buxbaum does not rule out the role entirely.
"We indeed informed both productions that Sean was not available now. If for whatever reason the start dates on these productions were to be postponed, Sean would happily remain involved."
So Sean's not 'out for a duck' yet!
