What's It About: Luke Neuhedel Foundation
Luke Neuhedel Foundation is dedicated to improving the quality of life for children with pediatric cancer through education, research, and aid to families in need.
The Luke Neuhedel Foundation was established April 2002 in memory of Luke Paul Tolson Neuhedel, who lived a miraculous 32 months with hepatoblastoma, a rare childhood liver cancer that effects less than one in a million children each year. His favorite things were "happy faces," as he called smiley faces, Bear in the Big Blue House, Godzilla, and Pokemon. Luke lives on in all the children we are able to assist.
How Jim Carrey has supported
Jim Carrey was among more than 50 celebrities from entertainment and sports who donated autographed items to the Luke Neuhedel Foundation for its second Luketacular Online Celebrity Auction. It was held from February 4 through 12 in 2006. All proceeds from the online auction was directly given to children fighting cancer in the US.
And for LukeFest on July 31, 2010 Jim Carrey donated an autographed photo for online auction.
