ok.......if you are an easily offended Christian turn back now.......and DO NOT READ this page................lol......you have been warned, i don't want any hate mail, I DIDN'T
WRITE IT!!...........

if however you are liberal you might find this amusing............

the JCO 'Lords' prayer....

Our Father, who art in Hollywood
hallowed be thy fame
Thy film scripts come,
thy will be done,
on earth as it is on set
Give us this day our daily groupies.
And forgive us our sexual passes,
as we forgive those uglies who sexual pass against us.
And lead us not into retirement,
but deliver us from bad reviews.
For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory. for ever and ever. Amen

I'll be honest. I find it uncomfortable.

lol.....that's fair enough.......that's why i put the disclaimer/warning.....
i appreciate some folk will find it offensive..........
but it's more a poke at fandom than a dig at Christianity............i hope you can see that.....it's not anti-christian.............
but i thought it was rather clever and worth sharing.......

Uhm...if you took a well-known Muslim prayer and.....well..... know....there'd be a hit out on you.

Not only does it make me uncomfortable, but I don't find it at ALL funny.

It was funny... and I didn't find it offensive... what I find offensive is reciting prayers and not following them. I've seen people going to church on Sunday and on Monday doing the opposite of what they (supposedly) learned. That I find offensive.

Sometimes we just have "gut" reactions to things.

You KNEW it MIGHT be controversial because you said so, in the TITLE.

So, ok....some little voice told you it might be offensive to some.

And also....it's not the whole JCO "Lord's Prayer."

The "Lord's Prayer" is a very special prayer.

Maybe I just have no sense of humor??? 8)

I can only be honest....even if it's not the popular view.

Well, I can't say I found it offensive. But that's the agnostic in me.

I guess I can understand some people might feel uncomfortable with it. But as this board has continually shown....we are all different and we just accept that will not agree with everything we read here. All the time. We're all adults though. No fisty cuffs huh?

It was sort of funny. But not hilarious. :)

I concur....we're all hypocrites. That's why we so badly need to realize we are forgiven. I'm my own worst enemy that way.
