This sucks! So everywhere I'm reading people say Jim Carrey is soooo ´90s and his comedic stuff doesn't work anymore...
Now for the first time a Jim Carrey comedy isn't nominated at all for the MTV Movie Awards, while Carrey used to be the undefeatable winner time after time. He didn't win with Irene, not with Bruce.
I thought 'Best Comedic Performance' should be a nomination at least. And I thought there was a very big chance for 'Best Kiss' when Jim & Tea were kissing with those funny lips.
I think this is a bummer.

it ok....i think MTV is afraid that he might do something to get them canceled when he gives his award speech. lol.
but he has a bigger goal....to be the first actor to win an oscar for being in a comedy.

He's NOT Janet Jackson and it's my fantasy that he possesses a semblence of propriety and respect for the audience.
Why 2008? Is it 23 that's going to do it? Or Ripley's.

I never agree with those people who say those bogus things.Jim is innovative in his every movie. It can be dramatic or comedy. And i think those actors do boring acting whome those kind critics apprecaiate. And i never seen any newspaper review where they criticised Jim in a bad way in my country or so called Kolkata.

Jim is unpredictable and hence fun! I personally have never seen anyone be so intense both in comedy and drama, that's why I never get tired of him, even after 11 years (today, yey!)
So if those people don't agree well excuse while I'm putting a bullet in my head, consumed by remorse and sarcasm!
They should try to discuss what will be the new pink in fashion instead, now THAT'S construtive!

Haheha!
They are greedy. The film will MAKE money ultimately...just not as much as they want...MAYBE...The audience MY age is very very familiar with Ripley's believe it or not. The time is RIGHT for this movie....they just need to locate producers with testicles.

I rarely post in this section of the forum, but I'm bored today. Jim has been the hottest form of comedy to hit TV since the Marx bros and Abbot and Costello! All the other comedy actors today just ripp off of Jim's platform. And I can't stand any of them! Jack Black, Will Ferel, Ben Stiller, Owen Wilson. . . .PUKE!!

<3 I agree with you all - Jim's definitely still the funniest and always will be <3
And Jimenem; you're right - the people you listed isn't even half as funny as Jim is, though the one who is the least funniest of those is definitely Will Ferrell!!!! People who think he's hilarious must be off their meds or something, 'cause I think he -of all the comedians out there- is trying waaaay too hard that he doesn't even come off remotely funny to me!!
Owen Wilson is kinda cute though... Haha, I think he's funny in a cute way!
Ben Stiller and Jack Black is, well, atleast funnier than Will Ferrell, but sometimes they're trying too hard as well!!
