Jim Carrey Fan Gathering 2006!Jim Carrey Fan Gathering 2006!OK, I am starting a new thread. Rev up your imaginations!! This thread is where people can post ideas of what their ideal Jim Carrey fan gathering would be like. You can post anything from your biggest pipe dream to your most serious idea. I have started this thread to see if Jim's friendly online fans would enjoy the concept of meeting in person, as well as to have some fun with our imaginations (which could actually result in some half-decent ideas). And yes, the pipe dreams can include ideas about Jim attending the gathering as well…

I've heard that Toronto is a really cool city.
LA is too expensive. Sadly, I doubt I'll ever get back to Europe because travel there is pretty costly. "When in doubt, tell the truth."

lol.. that would be the thing it think with the traveling if a thing like this actually did get organised.
I think it would be a really great idea for fans of Jim to meet up.. i wouldnt know what we'd do though.. maybe go somewhere and have a Jim Carrey filmathon lol... everyone brings there films and we can all see what everyone has and share stories etc.
Yeah, a filmathon would be great... there could be a screening room with a big giant screen (hmm, we could call it "The Majestic" screening room) where we could watch his movies till our eyeballs basically fell out... nice!

You've heard correctly... it is a very cool city. "I don't care if people think I'm an overactor. People who think that would call Van Gogh an overpainter." -- Jim Carrey
id be nice to meet new people who you know ur gonna connect with ya kno??... i have trouble meeting new people but i think if i met up with you guys we would have alot in common and i wudnt be shy and all that jazz lol..
I wonder where Jim would like it?I like the country. I don't mind visiting Toronto for a weekend out
or something but the country is for me. Maybe Jim likes the city life. He said he was going out into the bush at Christmas time, I wonder how that went. Good thing he didn't go with Dick Cheyney(probably misspelled) sorry!
i like both..............but i love nature and would miss it dreadfully if i was in the city all the time...........Brentwood looks pretty green.....it looks as though there's gonna be birds and stuff there........
but getting back to the meeting............lol............we should just go on tour instead........lol fluffy Fluffy
Our thinking caps are on... cool...
Hmm, we *could* do a webcast... that probably wouldn't be too hard... the easiest way to meet, for sure... though also the most impersonal/two-dimensional... What kind of 'tour' did you have in mind, Fluffy? Details! As for Jim, I could see him liking the big city life and then also enjoying the occassional trip to the country to relax and escape the paparazzi. "I don't care if people think I'm an overactor. If we have a fan convention, I'm coming as myself...I'm not gonna go all out and dress like a character....although, I might look ok with blue hair.

Keep it simply simple...that way you can plan at the convention the next one, if yu want to go of the wall at future ones or what...team effort.
I like the mobil idea too, that way people all across the country can appreciate the gathering.
Ooh, ooh... we could have a Carreyokoe contest... or a Carrey trivia contest (Jeopardy-style)... or see who can bake the best gingerbread Jims... (though could I actually bite the head off something that cute? ... lol...)
I guess I personally welcome off-the-wall ideas as well as simple ones, because I think the main thing is to generate excitement of any kind at this point... without enthusiasm, nothing will happen... just my opinion, anyway...
