1. We admitted we were powerless over Jim; that our lives had become unmanageable.
2. Came to believe that a power greater than Hollywood could restore us to sanity.
3. Made a decision to turn our internet and our lives over to the care of God as we understood Him.
4. Made a searching and fearless moral inventory of our Jim paraphenalia..
5. Admitted to God, to ourselves, and to another human being the exact number of times we go on JCO each day.
6. Were entirely ready to have God remove all these defects of character.
7. Humbly asked Him to remove our Jimlessness.
8. Made a list of all persons we had argued about Jim with, and became willing to make amends to them all.
9. Made direct amends to such people wherever possible, except when to do so would injure them or others...or get you labeled a stalker.
10. Continued to take personal inventory and when we were sweaty promptly admitted it.
11. Sought through prayer and meditation to improve our conscious contact with God, as we understood Him, praying only for knowledge of His will for us, the reason for our atttraction to Jim, and the power to carry that out.
12. Having had a spiritual awakening as the result of these steps, we tried to carry this message to Jimaholics, and to practice these principles in all our affairs

Hello, My name is Karen and I too, am a Jimaholic. I don't actually believe in the 12 steps and kind of believe addiction is a mindset. Disease, possibly. For religious reasons it doesn't apply to me, and they seem kind of arbitrary. I just find Mr. Carrey a fascinating creature. Born again, free at last! Sweet Jesus, how cool is that! People can convince you, you are addicted, but only you can tell. I just enjoy the pithy comments on some of the threads.

I realised it was getting bad, when earlier today (as I lurked at the JCO. Again) when my other half commented, "There's Jim on the TV, there's Jim on the computer and now our son (who's 4) is quoting Jim!!"

Hello, my friends call me Clemmy.
I enjoyed one Jim's movie here and then... but after experiencing Eternal Sunshine I couldn't help myself... I started surfing the web for news and pictures of our star... and suddenly I ran into JCO... visited as a guest for awhile and decided to become a member... JCO has highly influenced me... and I have to come online at least once a day to check the forum... the posts make me feel happy... they are fun, funny, cool... just as their members.
