Time stops for no-man..........lol

Postby fluffy » Fri Feb 10, 2006 7:45 pm

Ok.........time changes all of us.....sometimes for the better sometimes for the worse........but we don't have our changes documented for eternity in film....Jim has.........how do you think he's changed over the years?

the reason i started this thread was that i got a copy of the unnatural act..........Yes it's funny, Jim is very handsome etc etc but if you look at interviews etc now he's really changed.
But In a great way.........apart from the fact that he's now incredibly attractive in a way that maturity brings he's also coming over in interviews etc as much more sorted and together.......... He has a calmness and a serenity now.......which despite the craziness comes through.............well it does for me at least..........

so what do you think?

I completely agree Fluffy. I think he is much more calm now, relaxed about things. His forever handsome-ness (lol) stays with him the older he grows. He was hot when he was young, I would have liked him back if I had been around lol, but for me he is still as hot as ever and even sexier now. I've always been attracted to older men.

His all around attitude just seems impecable to me. For the most part he seems to find pleasure or happiness in many things in his life. I like that about him and I am liking the down more quieter side of him these days too. Dont get me wrong I love the fact that he is still a nut, that was the complete reason I fell in love with him to begin with...but that quiet side just brings out so much. Like when you see other celebrities your like 'oh, another saga or drama to be talked about' you see Jim and its like oh goodie what fun things is he going to discuss today' he has no drama following him and he's more real then half the actors out there. I like the fact he doesnt change entirely, but I love the fact that from when I first new him on In Living Color and then Ace, he's stepped out of his shell even more.

You can see a strength in his eyes now. He seems like an angel who is down to Earth.

I really don't know whether I've read enough interviews etc over the years to comment properly. But I guess the details I have picked up are that he seems more in tune with himself now.
I guess that comes to us all in time, as we get older, when we understand our wants/needs more. I think to try and hit the nail on the head......he seems to be more comfortable with who he is now. That's a nice state of mind. 8)

I think he is human. Although I wish I were JT Carrey, and he wanted to touch my hand. I try to see celebrities as human, and not to objectify them, because I think people don't like being objectified. I would just talk to him like he were anyone else. Because money doesn't make anyone any different, and could be lost at anytime. Then he would just be Jim Carrey, which he is anyway. I don't think money is that important (except when you need it!) But it is convenient, I guess it buys convenience, but nothing else. Hope I didn't drift too far.

Also, I wouldn't care if I lost my car, etc. because I would just walk down the road, which I like doing anyway. (well we are here in California, so I could)

Also, what I said has nothing to do with anything else that has been said.

Here the streets aren't that dirty, I don't mind walking to the store, or something like that. Actually, I don't mind dirt that much...but I suppose if there were a lot of it that would be different, like if it were flying in your face or something...

But I'm sure you don't need to hear it from some spoiled-ass Californian...lol

He really does seem to inprove with time like a fine wine. Fellas are so lucky that maturity and experiance plus wrinkles equalls gorgeous ! How many women do you know who look more attractive at 40 than at 20 it just aint fair. I love to see Jim interviewed when I feel we see some of the real Jim, a quiet comfortable reflective Jim, Im sure we've only seen that side over the past 5 years. I also love to see him perform like he did on the Jonathon Ross show, off the cuff as no one else can.

I think its the dichotomy of him I find so appealing. At first I wasn't sure... I was completely mystified by him. On one hand he's a wild child, with whom my devilish side can relate to; and the woman in me is constantly searchng that wonderfully, ever elusive, quiet side he only shares in intimate moments like Truman, Eternal, Majestic, once in a while during an interiew. I keep thinking... "Who is this guy?" He's so open, but he's a mystery. What a fascinating creature. :P
