Funny tabloid stuffI found this stuff on the Enquirer website. Really funny.

Jim Carrey's servants complained about the half-mile trek to his front gate to collect mail -- so he bought them golf carts.

On his Lemony Snicket flick, Jim Carrey goofed on his kiddie co-stars by climbing to the roof of the trailer where they do schoolwork between scenes, stomping up and down and bellowing fee, foe, fum! As the kids raced outside screaming, Jim squatted down to hide- then lost balance and toppled off the roof. Luckily, his pants got hung up on a pole projecting from the trailer wall ...and there he was, hanging upside down as the kiddies jeered and giggled!

Isn't this the same magazine that said he wasn't socializing with anyone on the set and he wasn't paying attention to the kids? Sounds to me like he is.

I like this one:

A New York coffee shop waiter thought Jim Carrey was dumb and dumber when he apparently forgot to pick up a $100 bill he left on his table after settling his $30 check. The waiter raced out after the star and discovered he's really "Bruce Almighty" when it comes to generosity. "I didn't forget it," said Jim. "That's your tip, my friend."

Jennifer Aniston and Jim Carrey did a double take after they finished a tender love scene for their new "Bruce Almighty" -- and the whole cast and crew burst out laughing! In the scene, smitten Jim leaned against a light pole after the smooch -- and came away with a huge white stripe down his back! The pole had been painted that morning and it hadn't quite dried, but the scene -- and Jim's mystified take -- was so funny, the director's keeping it in!

Do you think any of these are true?

Edited by: cotton at: 3/27/04 5:37 pm

Re: Funny tabloid stuffI don't really know but if it is true, the tip story is nice. and if that is really Jim's malibu house, why would he pay so much for that? it better look great on the inside cuz I've seen much nicer homes on the exterior on the beach than that lol watch him strike me for that eep!

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
J.T. Re: Funny tabloid stuffok, all of that stuff he would do. . . i think. I don't know. . . fun facts. anyways, about the beachhouse, he is Catholic and has his fears so it's possible it's true. and i agree with J.T. It better look nice on the inside. lol. maybe we'll be able to see for ourselves some day! anyways, I'd like to get a picture of that house in the pic, put it in a skateboarding game and have my skateboarder break all the windows in the beach house. that would be cool. then put some ramps in there and destroy it! hehehe. we're talkin XBOX game people, not real life. I'm mean.

Jim's not a god, just a person. later!

Re: Funny tabloid stuffHere is some stuff from Starmagazine.com

GRIN AND PARROT

Jim Carrey is a real birdbrain, and we mean that in the nicest way. The actor answered his door to find a worried surfer who'd lost his parrot. Seems the guy was on the beach with his bird when it somehow managed, despite clipped wings, to take off and disappear onto Jim's property in the Malibu Colony. The guys searched together until they found the little fella perched in a tree. Chalk up another successful case for Ace Ventura: Pet Detective!

Published on: January 29, 2003

ENLIGHTENED Jim Carrey TURNS BUDDHIST

Rubber-faced actor Jim Carrey is seeking shelter from this ugly world in an ancient Buddhist philosophy.

The 39-year-old comic genius of Dumb and Dumber is currently learning the ways of old-time Tibetan warriors. How do I know? On Sept. 29, one of my L.A. minders recently caught up with the star of How the Grinch Stole Christmas on the terrace of a Mailbu restaurant. There, Carrey sat alone and looked dead serious while immersed in the book Shambala: The Sacred Path of the Warrior by Chogyam Trungpa. To most, the name sounds like exotic food. But to the enlightened, Trungpa is da man. In his classic tome, he interpreted for modern people the spiritual values and wisdom of ancient Himalayan soldiers. The book teaches how to synchronize mind and body, overcome nasty habits, find a sacred dimension in life and lose one's fears.

Hey Jimbo, should we expect to see you in a long robe and shaved head sometime soon?

"Maybe," he told my spy. "The Tibetan people are fascinating." Then he showed her he could be quite the philosopher, too, especially when the conversation shifted to the terrorist attacks. (Carrey played a big role in the recent stars' telethon for the victims, and donated $1 million out of his own pocket.)

Question: "Hey Jim, how do you feel about the attacks?" Carrey: "Sometimes, you need a real hard hit before you get up. Life can be good. You just have to seize the moment. Now, the sun is shining through the clouds again for us." Then he sauntered to a coffee shop next door, where he flashed the peace sign while telling startled patrons: "God bless America!" He picked up a latte, and left after stuffing the tip box full of $5 bills.

"Jim is a very spiritual person interested in all sorts of things," said Carrey publicist Marleah Leslie. "I'm not surprised he's reading that book."

Published on: October 11, 2001

THIS ONE IS A RIOT!!!!!!!

Funnyman Jim Carrey is a real GAS all right!

The actor was filming a party scene for his new dramatic movie The Majestic in which 300 extras welcomed his character, a Hollywood writer who gets blacklisted in the '50s, by hoisting him on their shoulders.

But just as they lifted him up, he suffered a huge gas attack. Oops!

The resulting noise was SO loud that everyone on the set exploded with laughter and the director had to yell "Cut."

Jim, 39, turned beet-red with embarrassment, and tried to make a joke by muttering that he'd better watch what he eats more carefully.

When everyone stopped giggling, they shot the scene over.

Poor Jim. As we told you recently, the rubber-faced star is desperate to shake his zany image and establish himself in dramatic roles, like Tom Hanks. So this blast of humor had to be somewhat of a setback.

Published on: June 27, 2001

He may play a Grinch on the big screen, but in real life Jim Carrey is no Scrooge.

After the L.A. premiere of his new flick, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, the exhausted actor asked the bartender if there was a quiet room where he and galpal Renee Zellweger could wait for their limo.

The server brought them to a back lounge where the couple relaxed for 15 minutes until their limo arrived.

After the couple split, the delighted bartender found a $300 tip Carrey left for him.

Published on: December 2, 2000

Edited by: cotton at: 3/27/04 10:08 pm
