They are not in town.............they are on the set of FWDAJ...........security will be VERY tight there....................
and unfortunately a star of Jims calibre is always going to attract attention now........ he can't do very much in public without having his pic snapped.........whether by the papparazzi or fans ...........it's almost like being tagged........... ............but he seems to have a great attitude to it..........at least he doesn't thump the paps....... i guess if you're in that situation you have to change your outlook to fit............ fluffy Fluffy
I was just thinking about this the other night. I don't know HOW many times I just pulled the car over. Because my father had this thing about telling you what to do at the very last second! Dad would growl, "What are you doing?" And I'd yell back, "YOU DRIVE! I've had it! I'm going to learn with Mom!!!" I think he thought these little scenes were amusing...but after virtually EVERY Papafied driving lesson I would be seriously miffed, stomp up the stairs after yelling to mom "Next time, YOU'RE taking me driving!" "When in doubt, tell the truth."
Mark Twain
Quirky your story totally took me back.. I knew how to drive an automatic but my dad tried to teach me how to drive a standard and would get so angry when the car bumped and studdered..finally he got out and walked home.. and I did better without him in the car .. I even beeped the horn at him as I passed him on the way home
Of course my dad was Archie Bunker to a T.. very short tempered
My dad bought me a car in Europe that was a stick. I drove it around the house a few times. That's all. Who wants to learn in a country where everyone on the highway is going 90-100 mph? Not me.
I taught my niece how to drive. And this should go on the "life is funny" thread but a carload of boys came up behind us, honked, passed us, slowed down, we passed them as they made gestures to us inviting us to pull over. I said, "Heidi, do you know what to do if this ever happens to you again?" (And she was driving and laughing so hard she cried at the same time.) No, what? Lock your doors and just drive home or to a well-lit public place. Those boys had no idea that there was a 15 year old girl and her 24 year old aunt in the car. And I was thinking, "What are the odds? You take your niece out for a drive and a carload of boys tries to get you to pull over?" "When in doubt, tell the truth."
Mark Twain
Very funny Quirky... I taught my friend how to drive a stick. She laughed every time she stalled out. She said she hasn't been in a car that rocked that much before. I had to take over because she couldnt stop laughing. I ended up driving that car until I burned out the clutch 5 years later. it was the first car I bought with my own money and I was rough on it too.
Anyway I cannot imagine Jim teaching Jane, she probably had a private teacher.
probably.................but even though,... as a dad he was probably nervous for her.........lol............
that's his wee girl all grown up and about to be let loose on the highway.........any dad would get a bit nervous until they got used to the idea........ fluffy Fluffy
Pics are terrificThanks, it's so nice to see them together. They both have such a terrific smile.
