Your Favourite Genre for Jim............

Postby fluffy » Mon Aug 22, 2005 4:39 am

ok............i could have done this as a poll...........but i'm not keen polls.....this way you get to discuss..............

Ok...............Jim has been in many different movies with many different genres................what do you like him in the best...............and why

Ok...........straight romantic comedy....as in Bruce...........

...............General comedy............more Ace.................

...............Black comedy.............as in the Cable Guy......

................Straight/ironic drama......as in ESOSM............

................Straight drama..............Doing time...........

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

For me it's gotta be something which makes me think.....and somehow communicates something ...........which is why i ADORE Eternal Sunshine...........script aside, the acting was exceptional..... he was sensitive to the role.........a class act............
Joel is strong and vulnerable..............an awkward combination but he pulls it off..................
And i ADORE the Cable Guy too...............for the blackness of the humour..........it's quite subtle and sophiticated.........but very very funny and very clever.................alas probably too subtle for the masses...and sorely under-rated.........
Black humour is very much a British thing........less so American i think.......... it still did well but it was always gonna be a sitting duck for bad publicity due to the Huge pay-packet he got...........

And i LOVE his singing voice...........if only he would use it .......

so there you have it................i guess i love the ironic, clever, dark drama.............what do you like??

i know you people are friendly. this is the most frendliest forum and website i've ever seen. in every other forum i have been too, they always cus about 400 times in a paragraph. and they scream at each other like crazy, that's why i left from there, this is the best forum i have ever seen, the people are great. even though i have gotten into a really rocky start. i am sorry about the misunderstanding. and i am sorry to everybody for the bad information.

Entertainment... wee.
Anyways...

I really like him in ESOTSM... hes emotions were really well to read... but I am still more into his comedic roles. Like Me, Myself & Irene... crude humor. And Ace Ventura... idioticly hilarious comedy. <3
What makes you weak is what makes me stronger.

I love Jim's comedy...it has to be said...My two favourite films are Bruce Almighty and Once Bitten! (Talk about how Jim can sing...well God he can dance too! )

I'm probs more general comedy on a whole!!!!
