The Muppet Show

Postby Jimenem » Wed Aug 17, 2005 6:37 pm

Does anyone know if Jim was ever on "The Muppet show"????

I'm thinking about buying the first season on DVD, and if he was in it I would DEFINATELY buy it.

I don't think he ever was. I never read anything about him being on it and I used to watch it all the time and I do not remember ever seeing him. Funny you should mention that tho cause I was thinking about buying it for my daughter and I thought about how Jim would have been good on that show. He would have fit right in.lol

I LOVE puppets---did quite a bit of puppeteering when I was a teen. We had to hold 5 lb sugar bag over our heads while we watched TV (or whatever) to increase our endurance in our arms. I always got slightly irritated at the newbies that came into class--it took them a long time to get that you don't move the top of your hand (the head of the puppet) to make a puppet "talk", but rather your thumb (to make their mouth open and close!!).....I still pick up puppets if I see them at a store and make them say ridiculous things to my kids!!
I didn't see much of Muppets or Fraggle but I have loved Seseme Street since I was a kid. I loved all the characters! We still sing the "alien family" song--(those funny furry things with giant floppy mouths)
