Let's massage your inner diva. We'll rehearse you for the Barbara Walters or James Lipton interview that will happen when you are a megastar.

First question: "At what point did you know you wanted to be an actress?"

(And don't say "LOL, I dunno." or the whole audience will tune out.)

When I was five, I used to watch I Love Lucy and The Three Stooges, I used to think being on television was a normal thing for society, I then decided I wanted to be on tv or in movies, I began to make recordings of myself doing different voices or creating shows on tape, of course talking to myself, and I've always been in school plays. So I'm really trying to persue it now, I want to feel that I made the right choices in my life.

Do you see acting as giving something meaningful back to society?

Yes

Postby Canadian Jayne » Tue Jun 28, 2005 11:43 pm

Yes, I do.
You see people can see the consequences of actions before it actually
happens, help them to avoid those things that could destroy all civilization.
Acting is just that acting, but it can also be an eye opener,
it can teach a lesson without the person knowing the have been taught.
Until they get down to the crunch and they have to make the decision,
they will review all that they have seen, then judge, sadly
some movies give the wrong ideas and information and people make
alot of bad decision from what they have seen.

yes, I'm an entertainer, that's my job, most people don't see it as work but we work long hours and put up with a lot of crap with people who think they're better than us, opps did I say too much? but yes, ever heard of Shirley Temple? she brought alot of people out of depression during the Great Depression because she made people happy, that's what I want to do

If you couldn't be an actress, do you have something else you can fall back on? Like a Plan B?

Do you see acting as something you want to do for the rest of your life?

I guess I'm curious bc I'm always changing jobs. I love to write, and hope to be published and/or produced one day, but I also have so many other interests that I'm not sure I could stick to one thing long enough.

I guess the great thing about acting is that you're never bored bc you're always doing different roles, different movies, etc. Is that correct, JT?

Oooh. That was good. Real good. I should have used that on my ap to Yale. I don't think they liked my theory that acting was giving to people. I think they wanted me to say that I wanted to act because it would help me untangle my existential angst or some twaddle like that. BE THE MARSHMALLOW! Yowza.

Not to change the subject on you like this, but when do any of you think Jim will be interviewed on "Inside the Actor's Studio"? I may have missed it, but I believe he has never been on. I bet that would be a great interview.

Yes, I imagine James Lipton's laugh muscles would be sore afterwards.

Juliette, where do you find you inspiration?

Never had a plan B, my only plan B would be modeling or directing, so I'd still be in the business. I see acting as something that I'd do for a life career, and yes, that's correct, once I get to that stage in life I will feel better about my career.

and Quirky, it started with Lucille Ball, then I started to follow Robin Williams career for a year then Jim Carrey and stuck with Jim since then. So I guess I could say Jim inspires me. I also enjoy Nicole Kidman, but Jim is tops lol

I don't think I've been to that point yet, everything I've played has been pretty normal, so ask me again in 5 years. Oh wait, I know, an extra, background person that is, those people are so inhumane.

I have many dream roles but I would love to do a film ala Hitchcock, I love his work.
