Dumb and Dumber revisitedEvery time DUMB AND DUMBER is about to come on I say "I've seen it so many times. Maybe something else will be on".
But, last Monday I had a migrane and all I wanted to do was lay down and do nothing. So, I laid on the couch and turned on the t.v. "Oh, maybe I'll watch DUMB AND DUMBER for a little while. After 5 minutes I had laughed the migrane away, and I watched the entire movie-for the umpteenth time.
Later, I realized that I am powerless. The movie is so funny each time-I will watch it again-I'm sure many times.
And best of all, a Jim Carrey movie takes away migrane headaches!!!

Re: i agree40 hours a week is a normal workscedule. It's probably funnier when you get the joke right away.
cableclair

www.soiledmypants.com<-- my site
Failure isn't failure unless you give up...

Re: i agreeHey I got a question too....

When Lloyd asks ''What's the 'soupe du jour'?'' to the waitress, is he actually asking what's the soup of the day or is he asking what it means in English?

I'm not quite sure if 'soupe du jour' is a known expression in the English language so I've always wondered about that...

In the French version of the movie the waitress just answers ''That's the soup we have today!'' so I'm wondering if the joke is the same in the original version, I guess it is!

What do you think?

Thanks!
A n d r e a

Re: i agreesoup du jour means soup of the day in French, so I'm sure he was asking what the soup of the day was but the waitress said it was the soup of the day and he played off of that

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
J.T. Re: Dumb and Dumber revisitedhahhahah explaining jokes is hilarious to me.

Like when you don't get a joke and you ask what it means.. you'll never get to laugh now you understand it.

Very interesting to me

it either works. Or it doesn't. And when it doesn't it never will.
cableclair

www.soiledmypants.com<-- my site
Failure isn't failure unless you give up...

Dumb and Dumber UK DVDHello all,

I have been trying to get a hold of this movie in the UK. I can buy it from Amazon no problem, but the major stores are all out of stock because apparently it's been discontinued.
Does anyone know if something is happening in regards to a new release? I know the 10 year anniversary is coming up next year as well..

Thanks!

I agree at allDumb and dumber is the funniest film of all time. I can't wait to watch it again. I haven't bought it yet but I hope so soon Oh! and The Mask too. It's very funny. I like when the cops are dancing in the street. HA HA. When I remember it I start to laugh.
