My ADD did not register the fact that my question had been answered before I asked it.

Here is the right one

The Jim Carrey story

Comic/actor Jim Carrey has been packing a lot of Philly into recent weekends. On his most recent foray, he flew in late Friday to visit director M. Night Shyamalan's new country estate on the western Main Line, according to the actor's rep, Marleah Leslie, who wasn't sure if the call was business or social. Carrey's 17-year-old daughter, Jane, was with him in town, and they shared an after-hours tour of the Liberty Bell. Jane, graduating from high school, is considering a Philly institution of higher learning.

Not that Dad isn't trying to improve his own skills. Saturday night, the bearded actor took in Arden Theatre's slick production of Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street and signed autographs at intermission. Arden staffers surmise he's sharpening his blade to tackle a role in the forthcoming Sweeney Todd movie, to be directed by Sam Mendes (whose wife, Kate Winslet, starred with Carrey in Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind).

yeh, this is the right story which i read 2.

He sure met Shyamalam, jimliker.

I too think that though Jim is very talented with comedy, he can do serious roles better than 'serious' actors.

We are all capable of going into the dark side. But we dont in real life....or atleast try not to :)

But true art explores all sides of life. And why not?
I wasn't scared by Cable Guy, but couldn't take my eyes off the screen from start to finish. Can he get scarier ?

i reckon he's more in tune with his emotions and feelings than most.......being an actor he'll have accessed them in varying forms and i think he is the most under-rated serious actor around....................
it's almost as if there are two Jims.......the dark, brooding, serious Jim and the Lighter, funny comedic Jim..........

I reckon sometimes life imitates art though.............and if it can be captured on celluloid then the results will be truely startling......

He is as yet, an unknown quantity......the best is yet to come..
