Maybe if Jim's charater tought somoene else about being god for a day and having the character deal with different things could work. But rarely does a sequel gerate the same interest as the original.

Unless the sequel seems new, I can't see it ever coming to pass.

Even the comedys have been a huge success. For example "How The Grinch stole Christmas", Dumb and Dumber", The Mask, "Liar Liar", "Me, Myself & Irene".
