Hey did anybody here know that Jim has a 2nd cousin also named Jim Carrey? He is 62 years old and lives in Canada and from the way it sounds Jim was not named after him. Kind of funny huh?

considering the age difference, I think they would realize the
difference, now if his cousin dressed up like OLAF
maybe.....who knows.

Jim also has a relative named John Carrey just like his brother.

I found out that there are many stories as to why the name Carrie was changed to Carrey. One of the stories says that about 4 generations ago 2 Carrie brothers were locked in a family fued, making one of them change his name.

I remember that I´ve read sometimes from somewhere that name Carrey has been French Carré first but then it has been changed to Carrey.
