Carrey On!I don't know how many of you remember the
Carry On British series of comedy in the 60's,maybe 70's?
Titles like Carry On Camping... etc.
I think it would be interesting to have Jim in a
Canadian Carry On Camping comedy movie??....funnny
Potential??Who knows??
Anyone remember?
Any comments?

Oh Lord....I was a sabbatical officer in the Students' Union at the U. of London.

Political Correctness was just taking a vociferous foothold at the time and one of the Halls of Residence wanted to have a Carry On... theme party.

PC people were apoplectic about it.

I only saw part of one. It was Benny Hillish if I remember correctly. ...but my Welsh friend Stuart thought they were "bloody hysterical".

A long time agoI remember seeing a few of them (Carry On) a long time ago, I think they were a "little off color" but still funny.
I'll have to watch one now to see if I still think it is funny. Yes they were probably "Hillish" some of what I liked was it had the same people in each movie, they were familiar.
What does a "sabbatical officer do?"
I encourage anyone reading this to
indulge in looking some of the works up in the
dictionary, I enjoy the search for meaning.
Then I laugh.
I think there was one called "Carry on up the Kyber"
How about "Carrey on up the St. Lawrence"

CorrectionSorry!
WORDS
not works
Now you see my imperfections

*pointing and laughing at Jayne's imperfection*Just kidding.

I'm glad you clarified. I was looking "works" up in the dictionary.

Arggghhhh! I guess I was in my not too smart mode yesterday.
Big storm coming here to Ontario Canada, maybe we should batten down the hatches.
Your're laughing at me "sob,sob"
Anyway, I'm over it.
Carrey on Subject:
I wonder how the Mitty project is coming along?

I would never laugh..

We had a HUGE storm pass through Illinois last night!
I work up at 2:30 because grape-sized hail was bashing around outside. We had a near-record high of 88 degrees farenheit during the day and then that storm during the night. April is an extreme month here.

Mitty-

This is going to be controversial, but I really am NOT interested in that movie at all. It was done with Jack Lemmon, I think ...and I didn't even really like THAT movie all that much.

I like to see new, original movies....remakes are lazy and boring in general.

StormsWe had a few things happen at the Falls, trees'n stuff,
not too bad. Pretty windy. I remember when we had
a few tornados up here in Canada. I met a lady the other day at the library while I was online here and she
was getting spooked from the wind so she left.
What I remember most about the storm was how
quiet everything was just before the storm, eerily quiet

Re: Mitty, I probably saw it when I was a kid, I watched alot of TV then, I think I was a TV holic, my chore was to wash the dishes and dry the dishes, and I'd wash the dishes on the commercial and dry the dish while I watched TV, so it usually took me all night to do the dishes. My parents didn't mind as long as I did the job.

Now I read, swim, walk, cycle, dance etccccccc.work.
And go on the Carrey site for a good laugh

STORMY ILLINOISUNQUIRKED, How are the storms there in Illinois,
I hear, not too good in Utica.
We don't get much info here in Canada
I hope all is well over there.
Storms are scary stuff.

My grandma's niece lives in Utica and we can't reach herby phone. I'm assuming she's ok.

Utica's not that far from where I am. It looked ominous here, but we didn't get anything.

I have seen two live tornadoes in my life.
They strike fear into my heart.

Two tornadoes! Two tornadoes touched down about 20 miles south of
me in a small town called Mitchell, Ontario. I hear it was a pretty strong one.
I see this and think, boy am I lucky.
Weather up here has been pretty yucky, my boyfriend went Scuba diving in this weather, he suggested I go, but I guess I'm very careful, but too many storms going on for me.
As it seemed, I think he got into a few problems, he's pretty much a dare devil and sometimes put's everyone else in harms way too. Later he says "Boy that was stupid!. Now, I figure I just better be the smart one and not go.
