Jims real name

Postby Riddler » Tue Oct 19, 2004 6:32 pm

As we all know, his real name is James. I´ve been wondering that has anyone ( like his parents etc.) ever called him James or has he always been called Jim?
I know that for example in In Living Color his name is written as James Carrey, but has anyone called him with that?
I mean, if someone could call him as James, would he react?
Maybe Jim is only one who knows the right answer and I´m just thinking at loud.

Or perhaps he was called "Eugene" :D :D .

No, I don't think that. People are usually not called with their second name.
I'm qì, my friend.

MY DAUGHTER IS CALLED BY HER SECOND NAME

Postby Canadian Jayne » Wed Oct 20, 2004 3:56 pm

The reason being, every first born daughter in our generational
family was called the same name, so the tradition is now that the
child is called one name and answers to another.
I like the tradition, it's unique.

Ohh, that is quite unique :D

I like that Jim's real name is James, but yeah, I guess he's more used to be called Jim. James Eugene Carrey... I just like saying his name... It's like Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. To me anyways...

James is sort of like Jim's more quiet and sensitive side, while Jim is "bouncing off the walls" sort of side. :o

The name JAMES reminds me of BOND, JAMES BOND

Postby Canadian Jayne » Sat Oct 23, 2004 4:06 pm

What about saying Jim's same with the same accent:
Carrey, JAMES Carrey(with sophistication)
It does sound kinda neat!

(With total Sophistication)
Remember your nose must be pointed to the sun(if there is one out)(or the clouds if its dreary)
when you do this.
Hey, Punkrawker, you can do this one (with a deep voice)
I bet it would sound great! Try it!

huh? i'm confused.

for anyone who doesn't understand Jayne, I was telling her how people make fun of me because my voice is deeper than a regular female's voice. people put me down because of it. They also put me down because I stutter on a daily basis.

ohhh i see, I don't mind :D Voices are cool. I got really embarrassed once; I went on stage to sing in front of the whole school (grade 5 I think)... I was forced... it was completely terrible... a total disaster....

My voice was soo high and screechy because I was extremely nervous. People had to cover their ears.... and yes... that was the end of my singing career. If i'm not under pressure... i can sing. but oh well... I can relate.

you see, I talk in a low voice (my regular voice) on a daily basis. on top of that I stutter. So I get made fun of for two things instead of one. I can't help either of them.

yeah, I used to sing to my dog and she used to get mad and snap at me as if to say "Stop that! You're hurting my ears! You suck at singing!" She'd growl too. lol. Funny how an animal can tell you that you suck at singing.

 :D That is funny! I wish I had a dog.... but I'm living on a rented premises... just like Ace was... but he kept loads of 'em anyway :D

"What's the pet food for?"

"Fibre." :ace:

It doesn't matter if people pick on you for that, just if you're happy being yourself :D

Yeah... I guess so huh? I feel like that sometimes... when my mum doesn't exactly appreciate what I do... It's very hard to please her...

Jim was always there to cheer me up... when I see Liar Liar or Ace Ventura :) This is why I'm such a big fan of his. I just watched the Truman Show again; I've forgotten how good it was. =D> I really love it.

May Jim always be there for us :fletcher:

yeah in a way. His movies heal our sorrows when we need to get away, but the healing is only temporary. We go back to the real world afterwards and it starts all over again. Sucks. . .
