I know!!! And lets not forget that right after that, Harry says: "Yeah, he was really old..." ](*,)

As if when a budgie gets old its head falls off!!!!!! So funny! :lloyd:

Yes, I also laugh everytime about this funny joke.

One time when "Dumb and Dumber" came on TV here, they left the scene out where Lloyd speaks with the old lady in the wheelchair. I wonder if they did that because it was not a very important scene and they wanted to make the movie a little bit shorter because it fitted better to the programm or if they thought the scene is too hard because he says that thing about old people. I think the first point is right because I could not imagine that they thought that this scene is too hard.

"Don't go dying on me!" :lloyd:

I hate when they cut Jim Carrey films when they go on TV!
I was watching Ace Ventura and they cut the "sex scene" altogether! As well as the "Holy Testicle Tuesday!"
They also cut the scene in Dumb and dumber when Harry's in the toilet and takes the whole toilet to empty in through the window.

Yeah, I hate it, too, when they cut scenes. Not even in Jim's movies but in all. Here in Germany it is even hard to find brutal films uncut. If you want them you have to buy them in another country (I buy nearly all movies that could be a little bit brutal in switzerland because of this).
Hehe, I laughed so much when I saw the scene on the toilet the first time.

Saw Dumb & Dumber for the first time this weekend

Postby Canadian Jayne » Mon Oct 18, 2004 7:12 pm

I haven't decided who's dumber, I think that's a guy thing.
I liked the part where he walked off the loading ramp and
the imaginary fight scene in the restaurant.
I HAD SOME REALLY GOOD LAUGHS ON THE OTHER PARTS.

On my DVD cover it has Jim Carrey over DUMB and Jeff Daniels over DUMBER. So maybe Harry was the Dumber one after all?????

Anyway yeah I hate it when they cut movies they do it alot here in the UK too! I was watching Ace 1 and they cut the bit out were Ace finds Captain Winky! Plus they cut Liar Liar when it was on tv aswell! Maybe they should put them on at a later time? But I'm still glad they put them on!!!!

Plus Dumb and Dumber was a great film alot of laughs too be had! :D :D :D

But you can get movies on DVD uncut in the UK easily. In Germany even the DVDs and games are cut. Because of that I bought some DVDs when I was in England some weeks ago.

Hands down it's Lloyd Christmas (Jim Carrey) the fact is he can't read, he drove the car in the wrong direction he takes idea's from movies and re-inacts them but then gets in a whole lot of trouble. :P

You mean the scene in the restaurant where he lets the brutal guy pay for them, right? Yes, that was really funny. I always laugh when Lloyd later sits like a baby next to the toilet.
But the driving into the wrong direction could happen to intelligent people, too. When you are tired and want to make your neighbour angry then not seeing hints on the road is not hard.

Yeah but still, I mean, their supposed to go to the Rocky Moutains and Lloyd doesn't even realise he's going the wrong way even though he's driving in the desert! An intelligent person would have been like "What the f***?"

"- I expected the Rocky Mountains to be a little rockier than this!"
"- I was thinking the same thing...that John Denver's full of shit man!"

I really did that once though!

Postby Canadian Jayne » Mon Oct 25, 2004 4:29 pm

I was heading for Washington D.C.
READ A SIGN THAT SAID WASHINGTON
But it was the wrong Washington and I'm going furthur
and further away, finally my husband at the time(woke up)
looked at the map and said we're hours away from where we
should be. Maybe it's a good thing were divorced now.
I'm better at map reading now, I stop and ask for directions
or I let someone else drive.
It was only once though, sometimes I'll stop on the side of the
road until I get my bearing right. It's better to stop and figure it
out first.
Now we have GPS, their pretty fun.
