Filming begins in L.A. in early 2004 for a summer 2005 release. The trade paper says the Farrellys' pic "will be an adventure that revolves around the Stooges characters originated by Moe Howard, Larry Fine and Jerome 'Curly' Howard in the classic Columbia two-reelers."<br><br>The Three Stooges will be a contemporary comedy and not a biopic about (or a remake of any films starring) the original Stooges. The Farrelly brothers co-wrote their script with Mike Cerrone and will produce the pic under their Conundrum Entertainment shingle.<br><br>"People have asked us if this is going to be a G-rated movie. But the truth of the matter is, if you play their original shorts in a theater today, it would have to be rated PG-13, whereas back then it was considered extremely innocent. We're not the most politically correct guys in the world, but we are definitely concerned with keeping the movie true to The Three Stooges," Peter Farrelly is quoted as saying in an article at the official Three Stooges site.<br><br>Now The Boston Herald claims to know who the New England-based filmmakers want to play at least one of their Stooges: Benicio Del Toro!<br><br>The brooding thesp is best known for his dramatic work, including his Oscar-winning turn in Traffic, as well as The Hunted and The Pledge. His other credits include Snatch, The Usual Suspects and Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. The Herald didn't say if Del Toro had already been offered a part.<br><br>There were unconfirmed rumors last December that Farrelly vets Jim Carrey and Jack Black were also in the running for roles. And Kingpin star Woody Harrelson recently hosted NBC's The Three Stooges' 75th Anniversary Special. I highly doubt it will happen, I remember reading a interview and Jim said that he never watched the three stooges so i doubt he'd want to do a movie as one of them. <p></p><i></i>

And so what of Jim never watched the show all he has to do is start watching them to find his character!!! OMG,That would be awesome!I love all three of those actors!But I heard some guy thats last name is Del Toro will play one of the stooges.He was in Fear in loathing in las vegas,He was sort of a fat guy,but I could see him more a larry than curly suprisingly.<br>It would be great to see Jim in another farrelly brothers movie!He works so good with them. <p></p><i></i>
