Who wants Jim to play him in the movie about his life?

Years ago, I remember reading that someone famous had stated that, if a movie of his life were to be made, he'd want Jim to play him. But now I can't remember who, and my searches are coming up empty.

Of course, we remember the brilliant job he did playing (channeling?) Andy Kaufman.

Anyhow, was it maybe Jerry Lewis? It couldn't have been Eastwood — could it?

I'd appreciate any leads!

I have a suspicion it is Eastwood............and certainly a young Eastwood looks a bit like Jim.........Clint was super HOT when he was in his 30's....
