Miss cast ?I was fortunate to see Yes man today as its not on general release until boxing here on the UK. I've got to say although me and my 15 year old daughter did enjoy it, I felt that Zooey Deschanal was very miss-cast although I cannot fault her performance I couldn't help but feel it looked like she was dating her Dad !!! It probably shouldn't have bothered me but it did. It was a feel good movie and it did make smile. Also this film was given 12A rating here but the scene with the old lady sucking him off (even if not seen) did make me feel rather uncomfortable sitting next to my daughter. Other than that I very much enjoyed Carl's bosses character, the Ozzy guy who liked to dress up, he stole the show for me. apart from my hero Jim of course. I do wonder if Jim will ever have a script like Eternal Sunshine to sink his teeth into again - still my all time fav film.
Wow, I saw Yes Man today and it was FUNNY! I didn't like the old lady neighbor part though. Oh my freaking god. That was disturbing. My favorite part was when he sang Jumper and when he rode the Motorcycle.
When once asked what I would do if I met Jim I said that I would give him so many hugs because he is so damn HOT and then I would tell him to get married. Response, "he is hot, but...nevermind."
I LOVED it! and I think it's good that they didn't stick to the book because that takes the fun out of every movie book combo. Yahoo users gave it a B plus!

I saw it yesterday and I did enjoy it too. I just don't understand why almost every comedy out there follows "The lead couple should get angry at eachother at one point, then in the end all is forgiven!"-storyline. If they would've dumped that plot it would've been even funnier I think! 'Cause it gets so awfully predictable when that storyline is used.
Also I thought Jim & Téa Leoni had better chemistry than him & Zooey, and no not because of the age-diffence trishroberts; it didn't disturb me; I just thought they didn't really click. The drunk-scene was hilarious indeed 123Dan123 - one of the absolute best highlights of the movie! Also the "Redbull"-scene was too funny as well. So overall I liked the movie very much. However I actually like "Fun With Dick & Jane" better than this one. Can't really put my finger on why though! Perhaps 'cause I could relate more to their struggles then, rather than Carl & Allison living the high life. Furthermore I didn't really like the car crash in the end. But that's just me personally 'cause I want to go see a comedy to forget about my own life for a while! Not get reminded of that my dad died in a car accident! ~ "Compassion is the currency that leads to true wealth"~ / Jim Carrey
