I like Steve.....now I'm super excited for this movie!
"No time outs. Only DEATH!"
"I don't like to brag and I won't cuz I don't have to!"
I love Steve! He's so funny in his own right and that was so sweet of him to say that about Jim, now I love him even more if that's possible. He really is funny though. I love him on The Office. If you guys don't watch that show you should. It's hilarious and Steve is a riot on there. He plays the loser part so well, but still makes the character lovable.
I admit wasn't thrilled when I heard they were making a sequel to my all time favorite Jim movie. But if they had to do it, I'm glad they got Steve. I do think he'll do it justice. No, it probably won't be as good as Bruce, but I don't think it will be terrible either like I first thought it would be, at least not with Steve on board and Morgan Freeman and Tom Shadyac too. I have faith that they won't wreck the movie. But in my heart Bruce will still always be number 1. But I wish Steve the best! He's is great but he's got some mighty hard shoes to fill. But of course we all know that. "I decided that I wanted to make movies that would uplift people." - Jim Carrey -
Here is something more that Steve said about Jim Carrey
Question: Are you afraid that people think or call you a cheap Jim Carrey? Carell: I love it. No, I think that is a huge compliment. To even be mentioned in the same sentence with him, yeah that's a huge compliment to me. I think he's great, I've enjoyed all of his movies. I was telling somebody I was living in Chicago and I was there maybe a day after the original 'Ace Ventura' opened and it was before it had really caught on and people started catching on to him as a movie star I saw it in the day. There might have been 4 people in the theatre, a large theater. From the opening credit sequence, we were howling. I remember the guy in front of my turning around and looking at me and saying, 'I know, I can't believe it.' Like we had found this thing. The four of us were in a little club together and we were witnessing something. To even have been in 'Bruce Almighty' and to have been in scenes with him was a real thrill and honor for me. Even if I am unfavorably compared to Jim Carrey I take that as a compliment. http://www.iesb.net/index.php?option=co ... ticle=2685
As I am saying since ... forever ... I hope Steve Carell and Jim Carrey team up for the most hilarious comedy ever, one time. (not just voicing Horton, I mean)
