Sequel

Postby Guest » Mon May 19, 2003 5:13 pm

Ive got one question which would make alot of sense. which movie grossed more? Ace 1 or 2?

Not in just the box office but totally. Cus if he made more money on the second one, then what the hell is the problem with sequels?

Personally, id love to see just one more. That style of comedy is his genius. The point is to wear it out till you can wear it out no more.

Sequels are the money makers anyway. (Matrix anyone?)

BTW, wasnt the batman movie he was in a sequel

Well, of course has Batman Forever been a sequel, but not fot him!
He just hates so repeat himself by doing the same character! And I think that's great! Why do something that isn't a new experience anymore?? Jim's too creative for that. And everybody here should know that he doesn't do things just because of the money. He needs a challenge!
Yep.

Ace 2 did make more money than Ace 1, true... Ace 1 made 77 million, and Ace 2 made around 130, I think, somewhere around there....

But, and if your a true fan you should know this, like everyone on this board has said already, Jim does not like repeating characters. He likes to try different stuff.

Also, keep in mind when Jim did Ace 1, that was his first major movie and he was still relatively new and by the time Ace 2 came out he was a major star!! Thats why Ace 2 did better, eventhough Ace 1 was waaaaay better.
**---------------------------------------------------**
Visit my comic book movies website. What kind of name is that?!

Postby gothichyppie » Tue May 20, 2003 7:27 pm

Well, I'm into vampires and I love the peace and love era so I consider myself a 'gothic hyppie', I made that name up about a year ago!

I used to be called 'verademilo' but the second you don't use it, ezboard flushes you! <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/mad.gif ALT=">:">

Anyway, I know it's a weird name but you all have nothing to be afraid of...

Jim on Letterman tonight! YESSS! I saw a commercial for it and they were showing that Y2K act!

What a guy that Jim, oh dear!

Andrea

''I never drink wine!''

Postby gothichyppie » Wed May 21, 2003 2:34 pm

Well I simply LOVE the whole vampire phenomenon! I own Interview With The Vampire (can't wait to see Jim with Kirsten Dunst!), Bram Stoker's Dracula, Queen Of The Damned, Once Bitten (DUH!) and I watch a bit of Buffy The Vampire Slayer (ever seen that 'Smashed' scene? DAMN BABY!), it's my thing!
I rather go for emotions than gore, I HATED Dracula 2000 for instance, he was nothing more than a Wes Craven monster.
I dress in black pretty much every day and those creatures have been fascinating me for years, I feel like I can relate to them...

Andrea
