I am best known for often working with the same director, in movies that are often considered biting satires. I went to BYU. (just as an aside, I don't for the life of me understand why this guy hasn't won an Oscar yet).

sorry, I forgot that this forum is international...duh...! BYU is Brigham Young University, in Utah - best known for being Mormon.

wrong movie, but you're on the right track. the actress who played opposite this guy forgot to thank the actual person she played when she accepted her Oscar. The actor, her co-star, played a guy named George. No more clues.

Yes, I'll just tell you: the guy is Aaron Eckhart, who played the boyfriend. He's one of my favorite actors. I guess that one was too obscure....you try, Niobe - you got the closest. I stink at this game.

I confess, I never heard of him! But I am the wrong side of the Atlantic......
OK, next go, I was born in America and named Michael Douglas in 1951. However, I decided to use an alternative surname to remove confusion with another well known actor.

I was Al Gore's roommate at Harvard, and I won an Oscar for being in relentless pursuit of a fugitive from justice. This one's also too easy. I still remember when this guy played Mark Tolland on "One Life to Live"....
