How do you try out for parts in the Lemony Snicket movie?

Postby LmnySnckt » Sun Mar 02, 2003 5:34 pm

I've read up to the 6th book, and I'm so fascinated with it. My brother later told me that they were going to make a movie about the books and I immediately wanted to be in it! I want so badly to be Violet Baudelaire because I've heard from a couple of people I look kind of like her. I also like to read like the three children and I'm about the same age as Violet in the book. So how does one try out for a movie? I really don't think that someone's going to fly all around the world looking for people to try out. So, back to my previous question, how do I try out without having to fly to L.A.?

LmnySnckt

Um, unfortunately (wow a pun) the filming is taking place in Wilmington CA, I think. As far as I know.
As for the casting, there hasn't been much on it for the past 1-2 months or so. Things have changed since the new director (Brad Siberling) came in.
By the way, have you seen the Entertainment Weekly article on the website about Jim Carrey and the Lemony Snicket movie?

www.ew.com
*~*~*~*~*~*"Bngan maanpii kiing." No I haven't read the Entertainment Weekly on it. And thanks for the reply. So now all I have to do is fly clear across the United States. lol. Well so much for that idea. I really wish my brother had gone with his friend for this tournament thingy in California, maybe I could have gone, but unfortunately my mom said no. I could have seen if I could try out. But here I am, stuck in plain ol' Arkansas. Well thanks again for your reply!

"Women need to try to do things that men have already tried."
-Amelia Earheart

The Movie

Postby FavaBeans CBM » Wed Mar 05, 2003 5:01 pm

So, whats the deal with this movie? Are they going to use all 8 books and adapt them all into one movie?

I've heard people say that they are only doing the first 3 books for the Movie, and then the next 3 for a part 2 and so on.... is there any truth to this?

Thanks.
FavaBeans.
