Since a certain group of people is so negative about this, I wonder if they will actually refuse to go to his movie(s). I can imagine some of them will ignore Kick-Ass for that. On the other hand, if that is the case, it works the other way around also. Some people who are with Jim on this, will watch his movie to support him.

Is there a link where I can see the whole video ? The Funny or Die page is extremely slow. And I can't find the actual video on YouTube. I want to share it on Facebook, but can't find it.

I was wondering the same thing myself. When I was checking my Yahoo e-mail the other day, I noticed there was an article on there about how Jim had almost gotten the role as Dr. Graham in "Jurassic Park Park." I couldn't believe when I clicked on the comments section of the article all the hate Jim was getting. I'm not exaggerating here: I couldn't find one positive comment that was written about Jim. Half of this country is supposed to be liberal -- so why aren't more people sticking up for Jim's stance for stronger gun control in the comments section? It's perplexing to me.

I agree with Jim: I think we definitely need stronger gun control; I'm an American as well. Not all Americans are like those mindless idiots on Twitter and Yahoo. Some of it matters on the location here in America. There are many celebrities in Hollywood who agree with Jim -- but they are probably too afraid to speak out like Jim is doing, because they are afraid it will have a negative impact on their careers.

Personally, I wouldn't care if they banned all the guns. But I reside in a part of America -- New Mexico -- that pretty much worships firearms. No kidding. It's like the old west out here. I'll walk in stores here, and I'll see people, just common, everyday citizens, with guns holstered to their hips. These people must be very fearful, to have to walk around outside like that. It's a rather pitiful sight. But guns will never been banned altogether here in America because people like the aforementioned -- as well as the nuts who have been attacking Jim on Twitter -- will revolt. They have already threatened that there will be a civil war, if their precious guns get taken away. Just look at these people commenting on gun control articles on news websites here. None of the lawmakers are saying that they want to take these people's guns away -- they simply want to ban the sale of assault weapons to average citizens, and they want to give more thorough background checks to gun buyers. The gun freaks here are going bonkers even over THAT. And what sounds so terrible about those proposed laws? They could potentially do a lot of good.

As for the people who are saying that it is unforgivable that Carrey spoofed Heston's political beliefs in the video -- so what? Many comedies over here parody dead actors. Hell, "South Park" made fun of Steve Irwin's death in an episode; nobody was up in arms about that. Saturday Night Live has made fun of countless dead people before. Where is the outrage over that? No, people aren't angry with Jim because he spoofed Charlton Heston -- they are angry at Jim because his beliefs are different than theirs.

Exactly! It surprise me that the people who agree with Jim, which are a lot, didn't say anything!
That's why I started commenting!
That's what it takes for them to think they are right... for the rest of us not to react at all.

Sorry Steve and Fluffs. These idiots posting their stupid beliefs about owning a gun are making us look realllly bad. I really don't want to be part of that. But I sometimes I feel like I am included in the bad things people say about us just cause I am from the USA too. But anyway I am sorry.

I should say tho that the only people I know of that have guns out here are criminals. My friends & My family would never keep a gun in their house. I honestly think that most of the people complaining are from the countries like Texas ETC and maybe even Iowa. I have been to Iowa and some out there keep rifles to kill animals. So keeping a gun in their houses would mean nothing to them. I also think we are a spoiled bunch and that is why the gun lovers are acting like a bunch of spoiled 2 year olds.

I agree with Jim all the way but would like it to go one step farther and get rid of hand guns too. I think the only people that should have them are cops and yes I believe Dotan and all the other bodyguards of famous people should have one too since they draw crowds where ever they go. It irritates me when these stupid asses who nobody even cares about compares themselves to celebs.
