"Strutter" - Carrey attached to star?

Postby FavaBeans » Fri Apr 15, 2005 5:17 am

So, i was just surfing around and came across an article about some producer at Universal Pictures. In it, it states that Jim Carrey is attached to a movie called "Strutter", here is the news clip:

"And having made "Man on the Moon" with Jim Carrey and his manager Jimmy Miller, Misher approached them with the sports drama "Strutter," which is set up at Columbia Pictures. Carrey is now attached to play an aging racewalker with one last chance to make the Olympic team. "

Hmmmm.... doesn't sound like a typical Carrey movie, but then again what is anymore. :)

I don't know quite what to think about that.

Is it a true story?

Erm...racewalking? Ok....no offense to racewalkers...I'm sure it's a fine sport. Hm.

Left- right, Left-right. Racewalking sounds like an oxymoronish kinda of thing. But, who knows it might be a good story. I wonder if it will be like Chariots of fire. (Whistling) " that's not slow motion that is really how fast they are going."

Ladies, think about it. Race walkers have that boomchickaboom butt wiggle. Could be a good thing!

You had to go there! That's what I was trying to avoid picturing.

I don't think it's a butt wiggle, I think they look like they are trying to get as quickly as possible to a bathroom because they are holding in explosive diarrhea!

It could be interesting...

I love to walk, but I'm more of a "OHHH isn't that beautiful, and listen to
the doves, look at the geese, let's feed them, watch them come in early in
the morning, hear them squack, look at the flies, listen how the stream
sings" I'm more of an observant walker, I was in a walk-a- thon in the states for a good cause, but I was the last person and one of the organizers, but I really wanted to walk. it was about 10-20 miles, I can't remember but, in the last few miles my friend, met me by my complete
surprise, a few miles before the end and walked the last few miles with me
I was so thankful he was there.
I think the movie may be interesting, depends on the story.
You'd be surprised what older people can do.

me too...................i think this would be a fantastic movie for Jim.......but it would depend on the script of course.............and whether he attacks it from a serious standpoint or whether he 'sends the sport up'........
it would really need to be a mix of the two i reckon...........
