Carrey Lends Support to Richards

Hollywood funnyman Jim Carrey has defended troubled comedian MICHAEL RICHARDS after his racist rant in a Los Angeles comedy club last year (17NOV06).
The former SEINFELD star MICHAEL RICHARDS hit headlines last November for repeated use of the word "n**ger" during a foul-mouthed tirade aimed at two African-American hecklers at the Laugh Factory in California.

He's such a nice guy! It's true, when you get mad, you pick up the biggest rock you can throw and hurtle it at the person your mad at! In this case, Richards just got mad and did exactly that.

I don't think that's an excuse, though. Yes, you can lose it when you're angry, but that doesn't give you the right or justification to hurt people.

I think OJ Simpson was pretty angry at Nicole that day, and look what happened. If you let your anger get the best of you, and just treat it as a way to explain your behaviour, you're asking for trouble.

sometimes you get so angry you don't know what your doing, you get out of control.
