Morgan Freeman: Alrighty then!

Postby Guest » Thu Jun 26, 2003 9:26 am

Did anyone else laugh in the cinema when Morgan said this line in the scene where they are mopping the floor? My group of friends I was with did, and there were a few scattered chuckles elsewhere of people who recognised where it came from.

But I think I was the only person in the sold-out session who laughed when one of the TV crew said, 'He's doing a Walt Disney - He's frozen solid!'

I thought it was really funny when he said Alrighty then, it made me laugh. Don't think anyone else did though!
I didn't notice it the first time I saw it, because I saw it in German (not to be recomended by the way!) but the other times I went to the English cinema, but I think most of the other poeple in there were Austrians, so they didn't get it. sigh.

Now I can do a quote saying something like

"Alrighty then!" - God and Ace Ventura

as a tagline on my e-mail and no one except other Jim Carrey fans will know what I'm on about. haha

Catherine

I love that!!! Because most of people don't get the joke while I laugh my ass off! Less than half the audience gets it, you can tell who are the big fans!

Noticed how Bruce gets that really déjà vu look when God says that? Pretty odd!
A n d r e a

Alrighty

I thought it was hilarious when he said that and I'm sure that that wasn't in the script but that freeman just said it anyway to see how Jim would react, and then they used it, acknowledge how they cut just before Jim starts laughing though. I've got the film at home (have had for a month now) that;s how i can see these things!!

You know another joke I'm only one laughing of in the whole theater? : Bruce doing Mick Jagger!!.... Most of people think ''ok, it's funny the way he dances'' but they don't get that he's actually impersonating him....... I've seen the movie 9 fricking times now and I've never heard someone else than me laughing...... It's a pretty nice feeling actually, I feel special!

BTW, I also have Bruce Almighty at home on the computer (TMD on Kazaa)but it's not worth the theater........the theater only happens a few months in a lifetime so let's enjoy it!
A n d r e a

Wouldn't it have been funny if Bruce had said "Like a glove" when he parked the car!
