Best Scene

Postby Count Olaf » Fri Jan 28, 2005 2:52 pm

THe best has got to be in Ace Ventura 2 when Jim comes out of the butt of the Hippo that was just hilarious. One of the funniest comedy scenes ever and Jim's best comedy scene. The first time I saw that I was laughing forever, too funny. However there are other very funny ones just not quite to the level of that particular scene.

As far as the serious films go, I believe the best moment was probably in Eternal Sunshine on the Spotless Mind when they are erasing Joel's memories and he is re-living his dreams. Joel and Clem are lying on the ice and Joel says, "I'm just exactly where I want to be." Then the memory starts to erase and Clem is pulled away from him. Joel gets up on his knees and yells at the top of his lungs, "I wanna call it off, do you hear me, I wanna call it off". When Joel says he is exactly where he wants to be I think that shows the reality of what the relationship was. The relationship was based on these special times and they forgot about them as time went by. They allowed trivial arguments to destroy their relationship. This scene is Joel's revelation to the reality of what the relationship should still be.

Haven´t seen "Lemony Snicket", but there is a lot of favouritemoments in his movies. Hard question to awnser! The karaoke-scene in "The Cable Guy" or the musical number i The Mask is really great. There are many funny scenes in "Me, myself and Irene" too, but the list favouritemoments with Jim can be very long. I´m stoping while I,m able to.

The Majestic, holding up the Medal of Honor to congressmen. Short scene, but very very powerful. His speech was also nothing short of inspiring.
