A different side of Jim

Postby Orangeworld » Fri Aug 01, 2003 12:52 am

I just got finished reading the script for Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind for the fourth time now. It gets better and better everytime I read it, I can't get over how much of a different kind of movie this will be for him. I know he did Truman Show and Majestic, but Eternal is so different then those, I'm not going to say anything about the script ofcourse, don't want to spoil it. Of those who read the script what do you think? I can even picture a soundtrack ( At least my own personal ideas for a soundtrack for it ), Radiohead, Bjork, Sigur Ros, Beck, Tom Waits, etc. That's the music I was listening to when I read it any ways.

Sneak Peek

Postby Orangeworld » Fri Aug 01, 2003 2:50 pm

Somebody at BeingCharlieKaufman that's seen the movie talks about it, and he says that they completely changed the ending. But He said it was for the better, he also said the movie was funnier and lighter then the script. I'm not sure what to think about this, seeing as how I loved the script so much. I kinda liked the dark emotional tones of it, I hope they didn't change all of it, But Like I said, he thinks it's better then the script and he said Jim and Kate's chemistry was wonderful.

Who Hates Radiohead?

Postby Orangeworld » Fri Aug 01, 2003 9:59 pm

I couldn't picture anybody hating radiohead, they been the best band since the Bends came out in 95 ( I admit I didn't care for their first album Pablo Honey ). And now a handful of bands sound like them so they've been a obvious influence to somebody.

I'm sorry but you got it all wrong

Postby Orangeworld » Wed Aug 06, 2003 12:46 pm

It's certainly not slit your wrist music, their music sounds like it comes from another world. And I think it's good to have songs that are actually about something, I've never felt in a bad mood while listening to their music. Infact, while I felt in a bad mood, I've listen to their music and it's made me feel better.
