Téa Leoni is in talks to replace Cameron Diaz and star opposite Jim Carrey in Columbia Pictures' Fun With Dick and Jane, which begins shooting later this summer. Dean Parisot is directing the remake of the 1977 comedy, with Brian Grazer producing. Diaz dropped out due to a scheduling conflict from a change of shooting dates.
George Segal and Jane Fonda starred in the original as a down-on-their-luck couple who turn to robbery to maintain their lifestyle. The remake has been updated with Carrey playing an Enron-like executive who finds himself an umemployed pariah.
Judd Apatow and Nick Stoller wrote the film's script. Leoni next stars with Adam Sandler in the James L. Brooks comedy Spanglish, also at Colubmia.
