Sending screenplays to Jim's Agent

Has anyone sent a screenplay to Nick Stevens, Jim's agent?

I wrote a screenplay for Jim, and sent it to Nick via email at the end of April, and still haven't heard a response. I guess it's too soon, but now I'm wondering if that was the smart thing to do. I mean, what are the chances Jim is going to get a screenplay from a non-famous writer like me?

You know what's weird about it? My main character has a neatly trimmed beard, and right after I sent the screenplay off to Nick, I saw a picture of Jim with his beard.

I first sent it to Jim's house back in October, but you guessed it! It came back to me, two months later, unopened. It wasn't until I read a conversation some of you were having about sending stuff to his home, and how celebrities never open their mail, that I really understood why. I thought that it might have been forwarded to his agent, once they opened it up, but now I know better.

Anyone do this? Or something like this?

Yes I sent a screenplay to Saturns Films once and they sent it back-cause I needed a literacy agent-blah...and once I sent a letter to Nicolas Cage, cause someone gave me his address-I wasn't asking for it but they gave it to me and it came back..except when I sent another one without my address..LOL!! He probably flushed it down the toilet..'LOL!!

it would be better to wait until the book is published...like Daniel Handler..
then get the right characters to do the book.

i work for a production company in hollywood, and we only accept scripts if they are submitted by agents. so the thing to do is submit your script to agents and try to get representation, then they will shop around for a buyer with your script.

most people just throw out unrespresented stuff. hell, most people dont even read the represented scripts - they give them to interns to read who write coverage on the scripts, then they read the coverage. if the interns like the scripts, and if their bosses like the coverage, then they read the actual script. its a process.

and you never want to just email a script, because that inconveniences the person youre sending it to because they have to print it. you want to print it and submit it with the standard script formatting. look it up online, it shouldnt be hard to find. it has to look professional. also - include a short letter with a logline for the script and your contact information. good luck!!
