I absolutely agree with you that if he wasn't so famous I just wouldn't have had the chance to get to know so much about him. Of course I would think "Wow, what a guy!" when I saw him in the streets, but then? So I guess sure it has to do with his fame, but I definitely don't like him BECAUSE he's famous but THROUGH his fame. After I read and saw much about him I more and more loved the guy. Just because he's a great guy to me! So I love him for who he is, but it wouldn't have been possible if he wasn't famous I guess... I'm sure, though, that if I had got to know him somewhere in a club or whatever and we would have talked and stuff I would love him now, too. He's just totally my kinda guy!! In every respect! I could go on now for hours and tell you why exactly, but I think I've already said it many times, hehehe.
"Whatever makes you feel good when you sit down and do it,
is what you should be chasing in your life." - Jim Carrey
Edited by: Nano75 at: 10/29/03 9:06 am

yes, I too agree that if he wasn't famous, it would be so hard to know much about him. Kinda sucks in a way cuz if we didn't know about him, then where would we be? I certainly love him for more than his fame, I love him for his personality, his sincerity, his kindness, his generosity, his forgiveness, his trust, and of course his looks I also love how close he is to his daughter cuz what can I say, I love a family man. He is truly an inspiration for me, sometimes I'm down on myself and I think of how he lived and it gives me hope. I love how he remembers me, that speaks alot to me cuz I always wanted to feel close like that to him as an admirer and it feels great to know that the one you love recognizes you!! Funny thing, a few days ago while working on a movie called Sleepover my "dancing" partner said I reminded him of Jim Carrey and I didn't even hint anything about Jim to him, all I was doing was talking to him about the scene. So that was WEIRD but it's COOL! Anyway, I think Jim is an awesome guy, and a very sweet and gentle loving man and he deserves respect and happiness from someone who will stick with him forever. and TRUST me ladies, dreams do come true, my friend was a fan of an actor (not naming who) and he ended up asking her out after not seeing her for about 3 months!! she did BACKGROUND work on his commercial, background work sucks at times but sometimes it can lead to better things! If you believe, it will happen.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
J.T. Very interesting question MrsJim! Jim didn't figure in my life till earlier in this year. I'd been to see Dumb & Dumber with a friend, seen this goofy guy with a chipped tooth, and he didn't get to me at all. Anyway due to some unhappy things happening in my life..I was feeling low..and I accidently hit on the Jay Leno show. He came on wearing THAT mask..I remember shouting 'take off that mask!'..and when he did..WOW!! Something happened there and then. I remember not being able to wait to see Bruce Almighty..and thoroughly enjoying that night at the cinema(26/06/03..I still have the ticket). He gave me a focus, something to get away from the bad news(and still does). If he was the regular guy down the road..say a mechanic..if I met him, yes I would be interested in him. It's a bit old fashioned I guess, but I believe in love and going out with a guy because I fancy the pants off his. Actually, the guys who have done it for me have been tubby, plain-looking but had great personalities. Jim, to me, seems to have all these qualities...and he fulfills a kind of need. Just got to find the right sort of guy(could be difficult!!!), nice evening out..go see Jim in a movie..nice meal afterwards. Perfect!!!

I believe that if I would have meet him 20 years ago I would have really liked him and remembered the small things about him like his walk and nature. Im sure I would have really wanted to get to know him alot better and with my luck would have been forced to move to Alaska and never see him again in person only on TV. Such a twist of fate.........
