Everyone looses

Postby Canadian Jayne » Wed Apr 07, 2004 9:47 pm

I believe oft times the men get stiffed for all they can give and the guys just say go ahead give it to her. I
have not read the papers and I really don't want to, divorce is always messy and no fun. The separation should not be about money but the welfare and continual reasonable existance of all, the man included.
I would hate for any person to have to worry about paying a whole lot when income is always on a roller coaster. Give the guy an award for putting up with crap like "give me more".

It's interesting...

Postby unquirked » Sun Apr 11, 2004 9:40 pm

...that him reportedly telling his daughter:
"You are supposed to love me for me and not my money..." is somehow to be construed as a bad thing.

I think that's rather deep.

You know what I think he should tell his daughter..........
"Hey kid, you're lucky my name is Jim Carrey and not William Hung."

(see American Idol for further details on William Hung)
"She Bangs, She Bangs "

IMG SRC=<a href="http://www.williamhung.net/photos/Movies/11.jpg>">www.williamhung.net/photo...es/11.jpg>

Edited by: OnceBittenbyaThug at: 4/12/04 12:54 am

I agree with you unquirked. If you have daughter who is constantly asking for money it can make you feel like the only thing they care about is your money and Jim was probably at the end of his rope because Melissa was probably begging him for more money then too.

I read this on another website so I don't know if it is true or not but (I think Melissa said this but I am not sure) the money that Jim pays goes toward Janes clothes. She has to wear the latest styles and the clothes are only worn once or never worn at all.

I have seen her own father wear the same clothes more than once(ex. That shirt he wore on Regis and kelly he has worn before) so why does she need new clothes everyday it's not like she is in paper all the time?

Cotton....I wouldn't be so certain his daughter did anything

Postby unquirked » Mon Apr 12, 2004 6:22 pm

...to warrant the comment.

I think he (rightfully) protects her privacy. I think I've seen ONE photo of her ever. She looked like a completely well-adjusted teenage girl and I think she was dressed rather casually in jeans and a t-shirt.

Certainly not a Hilton sister.

Anyway, if there was a money battle going on between mom and mom....I MEANT to say mom and mom...I would take the comment as a caring explanation of what was going on.

Any of us who exist in the real world realize that the divorce settlement gave the spouse a WAY substantial amount of money and Jim was paying plenty of child support.

For some reason, she sought further finance from him...and said it was for the daughter.

Maybe it was, but if he balked at the idea of it, I mean, I think I would, too. "You are supposed to love me for me and not for my money." or "I want you to love me for me and not for my money." They are both statements that express his willingness to give her MORE than money.

If this is in fact an exchange between father and daughter, I think it's touching.

Wise old Jedi

Postby Canadian Jayne » Fri Apr 16, 2004 2:49 pm

I know it is hard to listen to older music for the younger generation, but look at the new guy who just redid some of Sedaka's songs, top hit now. Sometimes the old comes back or when redone is even better, but also sometimes not. How can one fortell what will be, they must be a Wise Old Jedi.
What is this 50 cent group now, my daughter is going to one of their concerts this week.
What kind of music does Jim Carrey like?
Does he ever go to concerts??????

50 Cent is a rapper......

Postby unquirked » Fri Apr 16, 2004 4:58 pm

I think he's a protegee of Eminem.

Eminem is not a candy.

I don't know what kind of music Jim Carrey likes.

I find myself bellowing aloud to Sheryl Crow's remake of "The First Cut is the Deepest" these days.
