Are you obsessed with Jim???I was just wondering what classifies someone as obsessed, because i love Jim but i don't know everything about him...so what makes you obsessed?[/quote]
Following Jim around is obsessive... or thinking about him, like CONSTANTLY
Muse - 10, 11, 14, 22 & 23 November 2006
Muse - Wembley Stadium - 16 & 17 June 2007 Muse - Royal Albert Hall - 12 April 2008 Muse - 10 November 2009 & 13 November 2009 Muse - 11 September 2010
Acting exactly how I used to about him - freaking out over any television appearence, watching a "Jim" movie every night, thinking about him constantly, talking about him constantly... so much that you annoy everybody around you.
Now that is freaking obsessive. What makes you weak is what makes me stronger.
I'm not obsessed, I just think he's a fine looking speciman. *drool*
Nah, it's more his movies, he makes great films like ESOTSM and I LOVE physical comedy, so I love watching his nonsense like Liar Liar. Cracks me up everytime.
I AM VERY OBESSED WITH Jim Carrey. lol.
I loved or liked any movie he has done, I am tracking down any Jim Carrey DVD that has ever existed as well as the soundtracks. lol. I am part of an elite group of people......THE MEN OF JCO.
(Standing member since July 18th, 2005) THE FEW AND THE PROUD!!!!
Obsessed i guess is when every waking moment is spent thinking about him..............to an unhealthy level.............and you don't live in the real world........but you live in a fantasy world where you think you know him because you've read stuff.................
i still live in the real world............ but Jimmy adds some 'je nais sais quoi'......lol Fluffy Fluffy
I would say i'm a big fan and is my fav actor for sure and an idol in many ways. I have most of his movies in some form i have a personalised autograph from him "Jim 2 Jim" have various framed film posters and pictures on my wall my Fav film is Ace Ventura and coming in close The Mask. I also memorised the Line from Liar Liar after the cop stops him and the illness from Me, Myself and Irene not sure if others have?
I'm guessing we have bigger fans than me on here for sure
In my opinion, when you allow the thought of something or someone to take up your time and allow that to get in the way of going after your own dreams and goals, that's pretty bad. Sometimes it's easier to be a "fan" of someone and read about THEIR successes, etc. than to take steps toward our own. Another word for it is "resistance". It could be really exciting to sit anxiously, waiting for his next movie to come out, waiting for a new photo to be published, waiting for the next 'love interest' gossip to come out...but at the end of the day an empty feeling most likely takes over and that's the feeling of accomplishing nothing. That's when you go over to the member's section on JCO, go to the 'mood' topic, and post that you feel like poop...tired and miserable because you haven't cleaned your room in 6 months, you've got ring around the toilet, your journal hasn't had an entry in it since 1999, your book idea lies under a pile of papers on the corner of what used to be your desk, your face is pale and you are lacking vitamin D because you haven't taken a walk outside or seen daylight for months, you can't think of a word to put in a poem that doens't start with your obsession's name. Oh, the trajedy of it. Resistance is the devil, isn't it?
Profound words are not clever. Clever words are not profound. -Verse 81 of the Tao Te Ching
I was not a big fan. Then my mom (before brain damage) called me into the living room and said, "This Jim Carrey's a really nice-looking man." He was on some show she was watching and it was VERY UNLIKE my mom to make that kind of comment.
I still didn't really hit the site until years later. "When in doubt, tell the truth."

my mum liked him in the Majestic..........but i can't say for sure if she fancied him...............lol..........i'd imagine so.............lol...........hell who wouldn't??..............(ok, perhaps my dad)..........lol...............

My sister thinks hes cute... she likes him in the cable guy. She used to despise him because she thought he was an idiot.
Can't say that hes not though... What makes you weak is what makes me stronger.
I was laughing at my Mom cause she said she thinks Kieth Urban is nice looking the other day and she couldn't remember Jims name so she said "Yea well you like that stupid actor!" I never thought about it till after but I should have said "Well at least I am not old enough to be his mother!" My Daughter helped me a little tho by telling my Mom I can like anybody I want to.lol www.youtube.com/user/jimcarreyonline
