Now here's a comment that's typical for what the world looks like today; totally in to what a celebrity's age is. I think it's so unfair that people in just their 40's or 50's get to be called "old", and some female celebrities don't get the parts because it's the young ones that beats them to it.
My father died in a horrific car accident when he was just 51, and to me that's just living half your life. We could've basically gotten 40 or even more years with him, but now it doesn't pass a day without me missing him like crazy or thinking that he missed out on SO many great moments, like for instance now he'll never get to see his grandchildren in person (my big sister gave birth to two sons 2002 and 2004) and the ones to come too (I have a brother and twinsister as well). He was just so kind, funny, sweet and so helpful to people (he worked for the Red Cross for instance as well), and he would've made a terrific grand dad - that's for sure!! I know he's watching down on us from heaven though; I bet he's my nephiews guardian angel! :)
When it comes to age I think it's just a number, and it's how old you feel (not how old you are) that matters. In 3 years I'll be 30 myself, and I don't even think about it, it's how you live your life that counts, how you capture each moment and makes the most/best of it!
Just look at Teri Hatcher, Marcia Cross & Felicity Huffman; they're just such talented actresses who finally were able to show the world what they still can do in their line of work thanks to the fantastic show "Desperate Housewives"; I don't think the show would be that good if actresses in their late 20's had those parts instead!

As for Jim's birthday the 17th; I didn't forget (how could I when my own birthday is just 6 days after? ), but I didn't have access to the Internet that day. I do hope he had a wonderful one though with his family and friends! May all his dreams come true & may the angels always continue to shine over him & his family and keep them safe! :P
